In Italy, back those years, " Studio 1 " was the most popular Saturday Tv night show of all times, usually with an exceptional cast of natinal and onternational stars. So the choice of a still unknowns 17 years-old teenager named Rita Pavone with for a ten minutes weekly act within
each show, was utterly revolutionary. At first,certain critics did not
like the idea, bue after the first show,they quickly changed their mind.
Rita's impact on the public was simple staggering, so that from one day to the other, " a new star was born ", or, if you prefer, " the international
talk of the town." A real phenomenon.
Infact,only three months later, Rita will be presented ba RCA Italiana with her first " Golden Record " for 1 million sold record only in Italy.
